President Alimi Offers Condolences for the Passing of General Hussein Al-Masouri

On Wednesday, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, head of the Presidential Leadership Council, sent a heartfelt condolence message to Mohammed Hussein Al-Masouri and his brothers following the death of their father, General Hussein Mohammed Al-Masouri, a prominent member of the Shura Council. General Al-Masouri passed away after a life dedicated to serving his country.

A Legacy of Service and Sacrifice

In his message, President Alimi, on behalf of himself, the members of the Presidential Leadership Council, and the government, expressed his sincere condolences and deepest sympathies to the family of the deceased. He praised General Al-Masouri’s national contributions and his honorable history in defending the republican system.

A Pioneer in Yemen’s History

President Alimi highlighted that General Al-Masouri stood at the forefront of the Free Officers during the September 26 Revolution of 1962. He played a crucial role in defending the revolution against the Imamite regime. Throughout his distinguished career, he held several key positions, including:

  • Deputy Minister of Interior
  • Chief of General Staff
  • Ambassador of Yemen to the Arab Republic of Egypt
  • Permanent Representative to the Arab League
  • Mayor of the Capital, Sana’a

A Prayer for Peace

President Alimi concluded his message by asking the Almighty to grant the deceased mercy and forgiveness and to inspire his family with patience and solace during this difficult time.
