TAMASNA, Morocco – Dr. Anwar Al-Mahri, Yemen’s Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training, visited the City of Trades and Skills in Tamsna, Morocco, today. This visit aimed to enhance cooperation and exchange expertise between the two nations in the field of vocational training and skills development.
During his visit, Minister Al-Mahri met with Wafa Asri, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Economic Integration, Small Enterprises, Employment, and Skills, as well as Labna Tarisha, the Director-General of the Office for Vocational Training and Employment Promotion. The minister toured various workshops and laboratories, observing the state-of-the-art technical equipment available. He received detailed explanations about the training system in place, including vocational training programs and mechanisms for aligning training outcomes with labor market needs.
Minister Al-Mahri emphasized Yemen’s commitment to learning from Morocco’s successful practices. He expressed a strong desire to adopt these strategies to enhance Yemen’s technical education and vocational training systems. The minister praised the Moroccan side for their cooperation and the support provided to ensure a successful visit.
The minister highlighted the importance of following up on the outcomes of this visit. He stressed that such efforts would strengthen cooperation and joint initiatives between Yemen and Morocco in the areas of technical education, vocational training, and skills development.
This visit marks a significant step towards fostering a collaborative relationship aimed at improving vocational training systems in both countries.
