Today, Ahmed Lamlas, the State Minister and Governor of Aden, convened a meeting with Dr. Nawal Jawad, the Director of the Education Office in the province. The discussion also included heads of departments and managers from various educational offices within the districts. The primary focus of the meeting was to assess the current state of the educational process in Aden.
During the meeting, participants highlighted several significant challenges facing the education sector. These challenges include a shortage of teaching staff, delays in salary payments, and inadequate school infrastructure. The group also explored potential solutions to enhance the educational landscape in Aden, aiming for substantial improvements in the province’s educational system.
In response to the ongoing issues, Governor Lamlas directed the immediate disbursement of two months’ salary for contracted teachers in the province. He emphasized the local government’s commitment to collaborating with the central government to address teachers’ concerns and ensure their rights are upheld according to the law.
This proactive approach aims to stabilize the educational environment in Aden and support the dedicated professionals working within it.
