ADEN, Yemen – Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Mokhtar Al-Yafai, highlighted the need to enhance the role of the Social Fund for Development as an effective national institution. He stressed the importance of maintaining its independence while reinforcing principles of governance, transparency, and institutional stability. These measures aim to expand the fund’s developmental impact across various provinces.

During the opening of a preparatory workshop aimed at shaping future directions and developing the strategic vision for the fund in the temporary capital of Aden, Al-Yafai stated that the upcoming phase requires a shift from emergency response to recovery and development.
