A comprehensive security meeting took place today in the temporary capital of Aden, chaired by Interior Minister Major General Ibrahim Haidan. The meeting focused on recent security developments, public mobilization, and efforts to enhance security and stability while improving readiness across various security units and agencies.
The meeting included briefings from ministry undersecretaries and police directors from the provinces regarding the implementation of security plans and programs. They discussed efforts to combat crime, track down wanted individuals, and apprehend sabotage cells. Additionally, participants addressed the challenges and difficulties facing security operations and explored potential solutions.
Interior Minister Haidan praised the sacrifices made by security personnel alongside the armed forces as part of the “Fajr Yemen” operation. This initiative aims to restore state institutions and end the coup by the Iran-backed Houthi militia. He emphasized that the actions of security and armed forces reflect a high level of responsibility, discipline, and commitment to defending the nation.
Haidan asserted that the “Fajr Yemen” operation requires unified efforts and integrated roles among various military and security formations. He urged collaboration to strengthen the internal front and support the armed forces on the battlefront, ultimately leading to the restoration of state institutions and the establishment of security and stability.
The minister noted that the successes achieved by security agencies in liberated provinces, particularly in pursuing Houthi cells and thwarting sabotage plans, form a crucial foundation for protecting the internal front and supporting the armed forces in the battle to restore the state.
Haidan stressed the importance of continuing to implement security plans, enhancing operational coordination, and sharing information among various security units. He called for increased vigilance and readiness to ensure a swift response to threats and challenges, thwart attempts to undermine security and stability, and protect citizens and public and private property.
