On Saturday, Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani, engaged with several journalists and reporters from various television channels in Al-Mahra Governorate. The meeting aimed to strengthen the relationship between the government and the media while addressing the challenges facing the region.
Presidential Greetings and Support for the Media
During the meeting, Al-Eryani conveyed greetings from President Dr. Rashad Alimi, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, and Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad Bin Mubarak. He emphasized their unwavering support for media professionals, who play a crucial role in the fight to restore state authority and counter the ongoing insurgency.

Al-Eryani expressed his pleasure in meeting with journalists to discuss the obstacles they encounter in their work. Al-Eryani announced plans to revive the Khareef Hauf Festival to stimulate tourism in Al-Mahra and benefit various economic sectors. He referenced the success of the recent Al-Mukalla Season, which positively impacted several vital economic sectors and improved citizens’ incomes.

The minister expressed gratitude for the generous support from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, highlighting its contributions to the Yemeni government and people. He specifically mentioned the projects executed by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center and the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen in developmental and humanitarian fields.
Al-Eryani also noted his recent visit to the King Salman Educational and Medical City project in Al-Ghaydah, expected to be completed by April 2025. This project represents a significant advancement in Yemen’s health and education sectors, enhancing the quality of medical services for the people of Al-Mahra and all Yemenis.
