Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism Meets Saudi Culture Minister

On Thursday, Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism Muammar Al-Eryani met with Saudi Minister of Culture, His Highness Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al Saud. This meeting took place on the sidelines of the 13th Conference of Culture Ministers from the Islamic World, hosted by Saudi Arabia and organized by the Saudi Ministry of Culture.

Acknowledging Success and Support

At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Al-Eryani congratulated Prince Badr on the conference’s significant success and excellent organization. He praised the relentless efforts made by the Kingdom, under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to support culture and the arts. Al-Eryani emphasized the importance of showcasing Arab and Islamic identity on various international platforms.

Gratitude for Continued Support

Al-Eryani expressed his deep gratitude to Saudi Arabia—its leadership, government, and people—for their sincere brotherly positions and ongoing generous support for Yemen across various sectors. He highlighted the cultural sector, noting the successful hosting of the Yemeni Heritage Symphony concert in Riyadh last November. This event reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to preserving the shared cultural heritage and strengthening historical ties between the two brotherly nations.

Commitment to Cultural Cooperation

In response, Prince Badr warmly welcomed Minister Al-Eryani, reaffirming Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting Yemen in all fields, particularly in culture. He described culture as one of the most vital bridges connecting peoples.

Prince Badr also underscored the strong cultural relations between the two countries, rooted in kinship, proximity, and shared history. He expressed Saudi Arabia’s readiness to support the organization of the Yemeni Heritage Symphony concert in Jeddah and to expand cultural cooperation that serves mutual interests.

This meeting highlights the ongoing collaboration between Yemen and Saudi Arabia in promoting cultural initiatives and strengthening their historical ties. Both ministers remain committed to enhancing cultural exchanges that benefit their nations and foster a deeper understanding of their shared heritage.
