Yemeni Minister Condemns Houthi Attack on Civilians

Minister’s Strong Denunciation of Houthi Violence

Yemeni Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani, has condemned the heinous crime committed by the Iran-backed Houthi militia today. The attack targeted civilians in the Hays district of Al-Hudaydah governorate, where a drone strike hit a home in the Beit Bish village. This tragic incident resulted in the deaths of three innocent children from the same family.

A Pattern of Violations Against Innocent Civilians

In a press statement, Minister Al-Eryani emphasized that this tragic event adds to the long list of violations perpetrated by the Houthi militia against innocent civilians across various liberated areas. He highlighted that the militia shows no distinction between children, women, or the elderly. The ongoing violence continues to displace and kill the Yemeni people without mercy.

Contradictions in Houthi Leadership’s Statements

Al-Eryani pointed out the stark contradiction in the statements made by Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, who claims to support the people of Gaza while simultaneously targeting civilians in liberated regions. He noted that the militia’s actions, particularly against children and women, expose the emptiness of their rhetoric. The minister described these statements as cheap posturing that fails to address the daily atrocities committed against Yemenis.

Call for International Action to Protect Civilians

Minister Al-Eryani urged the international community to take immediate and serious action to halt these systematic crimes. He called for accountability for the leaders and members of the Houthi militia responsible for these attacks. Additionally, he stressed the need for tangible measures to protect innocent civilians from further violence.

This incident underscores the urgent need for global attention and intervention to safeguard the lives of those affected by the ongoing conflict in Yemen.
