Marib, Yemen – Today, Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani, along with Chief of General Staff, Major General Sagheer bin Aziz, conducted an inspection visit to the brave members of the National Army and popular resistance forces at the seventh military zone in Marib Governorate.
During their visit, Al-Eryani and bin Aziz met with key military leaders, including Brigadier General Mardhi Darma, the region’s chief of staff, and Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Zafani, head of operations. They also engaged with commanders from various sectors and brigades operating across different fronts.
Minister Al-Eryani conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Rashad Al-Alimi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and other members of the Presidential Leadership Council. He expressed his deep gratitude for the opportunity to visit and stand alongside the heroes defending the nation’s honor and dignity.
Al-Eryani emphasized that the international community has paid a price for its complacency in confronting Iranian expansion and its sectarian proxies in the region. He noted that the global stance towards militias, particularly the Houthi terrorist group, has shifted as their threat to regional and international security has become increasingly evident. He pointed out that the Yemeni government has warned about these dangers for years.
The minister asserted that the Iranian-backed Houthi militias have brought hunger, poverty, and disease to Yemen. He clarified that their violence does not target a specific political faction but rather affects all Yemenis indiscriminately. Al-Eryani described the Houthis as a significant threat to the identity and dignity of the Yemeni people, serving as a tool for Iranian interests.
Al-Eryani reiterated that the state remains open to those willing to return to the national fold. He assured that the armed forces would only target those who violate the law, aligning their actions with national laws and humanitarian agreements. He stressed that the National Army’s mission is not revenge but rather to protect citizens and restore a state that guarantees rights and upholds dignity, justice, security, and prosperity for all Yemenis.
"We are here today to reaffirm that the banner of the Republic will not fall," Al-Eryani declared. He emphasized that Yemen will remain a free and proud Arab nation, resisting any attempts by the Houthi group to seize its present and future.
Al-Eryani expressed unwavering confidence in the bravery of the armed forces and popular resistance, who continuously demonstrate heroism and sacrifice. He warned adversaries that Yemen will not bow down and will emerge from this crisis stronger and more resilient under the banner of legitimacy, the constitution, and the state.
The minister praised Major General Sultan Al-Arada, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, for his heroic stances and unwavering support for the National Army. He acknowledged that the victory and resilience of Marib stem from the combined efforts of local leadership, tribal sacrifices, and the dedication of armed forces and popular resistance fighters from across Yemen.
Al-Eryani highlighted that Marib has inspired Yemenis with its spirit of resistance and valor. He described it as a fortress protecting the Republic and a stronghold against Iranian ambitions. He noted that Marib served as the launchpad for the resistance and the establishment of the National Army to confront Houthi militias and their extremist ideology.
The minister urged the armed forces and security personnel to remain vigilant and fully prepared to meet the aspirations of the Yemeni people, who suffer under Houthi control. He expressed confidence that the Houthi project would soon come to an end, and the people would rally around their legitimate leadership and armed forces until complete victory is achieved.
Al-Eryani commended the significant national role played by the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, represented by Major General Mohsen Al-Dhari, and the General Staff under Major General Sagheer bin Aziz. He recognized the resilience and victories of the armed forces as a testament to their national spirit, high coordination, and responsible leadership prioritizing the nation above all else.
In closing, Al-Eryani paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the principles of the revolution and its gains, honoring their memory as they nourished the tree of freedom and dignity with their blood, safeguarding Yemen’s Arab identity from falling into the clutches of Iranian influence.
In response, Major General Sagheer bin Aziz expressed his happiness at having Minister Al-Eryani among the National Army heroes in the seventh military zone. He praised the minister’s supportive stances and continuous visits to various fronts.
Bin Aziz affirmed that the Houthi leadership has proven itself to be a terrorist, sectarian, and racist gang, acting as an executor of Iranian agendas. He noted that Yemenis have only experienced destruction and chaos from their actions. He emphasized that the armed forces understand that this group does not believe in dialogue and only responds to the language of force, seeking to impose its dominance over Yemeni society with a superior and racist mentality.
