Minister Highlights Women's Role in the Workforce

In a recent meeting held in Aden, Minister of Industry and Trade, Mohammed Al-Ashoul, praised the significant contributions of women in the workforce alongside their male counterparts. This gathering took place on the occasion of International Women’s Day, celebrated annually on March 8.

Empowering Women in the Workplace

During the meeting, which included ministry employees and the Deputy Minister, Salem Al-Wali, Al-Ashoul emphasized the importance of women showcasing their skills and capabilities. He urged female employees to elevate their professional standards and pursue personal development to achieve higher positions. This, he noted, would enhance their contributions to national development and progress.

Women’s Impact on the National Economy

Al-Ashoul pointed out that women play a crucial role in strengthening the national economy and supporting sustainable development efforts. He highlighted that women constitute an integral part of the workforce, occupying managerial positions where they have demonstrated their ability to achieve significant accomplishments across various sectors.

Commitment to Employee Rights and Development

Deputy Minister Salem Al-Wali reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to supporting female employees and ensuring their rights within the public sector. He stressed the importance of providing opportunities for women to participate in both internal and external training programs. These initiatives aim to enhance their administrative and service capabilities while raising awareness about their vital role in sustainable development.

The meeting underscored the government’s dedication to empowering women in the workforce. By recognizing their contributions and providing necessary support, the ministry aims to foster an inclusive environment that promotes equality and drives national progress.
