Lahij, Yemen – Today, Governor Ahmed Turki led a meeting of the subcommittee for tenders and bids. The primary focus was the opening of bids for the public tender related to the amusement park project at the Lahij Grand Park in the Jaljal area of Tuban District.
During the meeting, attended by Deputy Governor Mohammed Salam, participants reviewed the proposals submitted by various contracting companies. The bids were forwarded to the qualification and analysis department for technical and financial evaluation, in accordance with Tender Law No. 23 of 2007. Governor Turki emphasized the importance of fair competition and equity among bidders, urging strict adherence to the project’s timelines and technical and financial requirements.
In a separate meeting, Governor Turki convened the preparatory committee for the upcoming Qumdan Cultural and Artistic Heritage Festival. He highlighted the significance of showcasing the rich heritage of the province and called for collaboration between official and community efforts to ensure the event’s success.
The committee approved the final plans for the festival, which include the overall program, event locations, and strategies for involving artistic groups and cultural components. The aim is to highlight the cultural richness, traditional crafts, and folk arts that define Lahij.
