On Sunday, Minister of Human Rights, Mashdal Omar, met with German Ambassador to Yemen, Thomas Schneider, to explore ways to enhance bilateral cooperation. The discussions focused on supporting national mechanisms, empowering civil society organizations, and developing technical support programs. These initiatives aim to strengthen the rule of law and uphold human rights principles in Yemen.
Minister Mashdal praised the Federal Republic of Germany for its ongoing support to Yemen. He highlighted Germany’s contributions to humanitarian and human rights efforts, which significantly assist the Yemeni government’s initiatives.
In response, Ambassador Schneider reaffirmed Germany’s commitment to fostering communication and enhancing joint cooperation. He emphasized the importance of collaboration in advancing human rights issues in Yemen.
