The Meteorological and Early Warning Center at the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology predicts that coastal regions and nearby areas will experience humid, hot, and partly cloudy weather today, Sunday. There is a possibility of scattered rain showers in parts of the eastern, southern, and western coasts, as well as the Socotra Archipelago. Winds will strengthen around Socotra and parts of the southern coasts.
In the mountainous areas, the forecast indicates partly cloudy and moderately warm conditions. Thunderstorms may bring heavy rain to various locations in the western and southwestern slopes, potentially extending to parts of Lahij, Abyan, Shabwa, and Hadramaut.
Desert and plateau regions will generally experience dry and partly cloudy weather. Daytime temperatures will be hot, while nights will be mild. Moderate to active winds may stir up dust and sand.
The center urges citizens in desert and coastal areas to avoid direct exposure to sunlight during midday and to be cautious of high humidity along the coasts. Residents in areas expecting rainfall should avoid riverbeds and valleys and refrain from staying outdoors during thunderstorms.
The sea conditions are as follows:
The center also warns fishermen and ship captains in the eastern coasts and southern Socotra Archipelago, as well as the Arabian Sea, about rough seas, high waves, and strong winds.
