The Marib Deputy Governor inaugurates the Khadija Educational Complex in Al-Wadi district, funded by Kuwait.
New Educational Complex Opens in Marib

Dr. Abdrabuh Muftah, the Deputy Governor of Marib, inaugurated the Khadijah bint Khuwaylid Educational Complex today. He was joined by Saif Mathna, the Director of the Executive Unit for Managing Displaced Persons Camps in the province. The new complex is located in the Al-Hadid area of the Marib Valley district.
Facilities and Funding
The educational complex includes both a primary and secondary school, a mosque, and residential facilities. This project received funding from the Kuwaiti charity organization, Human Association.
Tour of the New School
During the inauguration, which also featured the presence of Abdulaziz Al-Bakri, the Deputy Director of the Education Office in the province, Dr. Muftah toured the school building. He listened to a presentation from the Secretary-General of the Kafil Foundation, the organization responsible for implementing the project. The school can accommodate 360 students and consists of a two-story building with nine classrooms, an administrative office, a storage area, and a teachers’ lounge. Additionally, the complex includes a perimeter wall and sewage system. Dr. Muftah also observed the classroom furnishings, including desks and smart boards.
Importance of the Project
Dr. Muftah emphasized the significance of this project for children in Al-Hadid and surrounding areas, particularly for displaced families and the host community. He noted the joy on the faces of the attending female students, who are eager to build a promising future. He expressed gratitude for the generous support from Kuwait to the Yemeni people during this challenging time.
Focus on Sustainable Development
The Deputy Governor stressed the need for humanitarian organizations and partners to concentrate on sustainable projects that aid recovery from the war. He highlighted the importance of educational and rehabilitation initiatives that can cultivate a generation capable of driving development and serving the community. Dr. Muftah praised the humanitarian efforts of the Kuwaiti Human Association, which focuses on human development and improving living conditions, as people are the ultimate goal of development.
This new educational complex represents a significant step forward in providing essential educational resources to the region, fostering hope and opportunity for the youth of Marib.
