Kuwaiti Funding Supports New Classrooms in Marib

Dr. Abdrabuh Muftah, the Deputy Governor of Marib, laid the foundation today for a project to build additional classrooms at Al-Rawda Secondary School for Boys in Marib City. This initiative receives funding from Kuwait as part of the “Kuwait Stands by You” campaign.
Project Details and Budget
The project will include 18 classrooms, two laboratories, a training hall, and various administrative facilities, all furnished to enhance the learning environment. Additionally, the school will feature a canopy for the playground area. The total cost of the project is approximately 3 million and 397 Saudi Riyals. The Humanitarian Response Organization will implement the project with financial support from the Abdullah Al-Nouri Charitable Society in Kuwait.
Impact on Education in Marib
Deputy Governor Muftah praised Kuwait’s humanitarian efforts and its significant contributions to vital sectors in Marib, particularly education. The region faces numerous challenges, including overcrowded classrooms and inadequate infrastructure.
He emphasized the importance of sustainable projects like this one, which aim to alleviate the pressure on public schools. The influx of displaced families in recent years has significantly increased student numbers. Muftah noted that these new classrooms will help reduce congestion at the school and provide hundreds of students, who have been deprived of their right to education, with the opportunity to continue their studies.
This initiative represents a crucial step toward improving educational facilities in Marib. With the support of Kuwait, the project aims to enhance the learning experience for students and address the pressing challenges faced by the education sector in the region.
