Human Forces Authority Launches 2026 Training and Combat Year in Marib

On Saturday, the Human Forces Authority and its departments officially inaugurated the 2026 training, combat, and morale year in Marib. The event featured the Chief of General Staff and Joint Operations Commander, Lieutenant General Sagheer bin Aziz, along with several heads of departments and military directors.

Commitment to Institutional Development

During the ceremony, Inspector General of the Armed Forces, Major General Adel Al-Qumairi, delivered a speech on behalf of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff. He conveyed greetings from the political and military leadership, represented by President Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and the members of the Presidential Leadership Council.

Al-Qumairi emphasized that the launch of the training year reflects the armed forces’ commitment to institutional development and continuous training. He stated that training embodies the spirit of the military institution and that cumulative development is essential for building a modern and disciplined force capable of facing challenges.

Achievements and Future Goals

Al-Qumairi praised the accomplishments of the Human Forces Authority over the past year, highlighting improvements in organization, data modernization, and administrative procedures. He acknowledged the efforts that have strengthened institutional discipline and laid a solid foundation for building an organized and effective human force.

He noted that proper organization of human resources is crucial for developing a professional military. He asserted that human readiness serves as the backbone of combat readiness, emphasizing that advanced weaponry holds no value without qualified personnel who understand their rights and responsibilities and are committed to their national cause.

Ensuring Rights and Enhancing Morale

Al-Qumairi pointed out that precise organization of human resources ensures the administrative and financial rights of military personnel. This organization promotes justice and equality, boosting morale, which positively impacts performance and discipline, especially in the ongoing national battle against the Houthi militia.

He announced the military leadership’s endorsement of recent presidential decisions, affirming that these measures aim to correct the course, strengthen state institutions, and establish a principle of national partnership. This includes integrating all military formations under the leadership of the Ministries of Defense and Interior.

Continued Support from Saudi Arabia

Al-Qumairi expressed confidence in the ongoing and sincere support from Saudi Arabia for the legitimacy and armed forces of Yemen. He acknowledged their role in enhancing security and stability while building national institutions capable of protecting Yemen and the region.

Highlights from the Previous Year

In a separate address, Deputy Chief of the Human Forces Authority, Major General Mohammed Al-Sabari, reviewed the key achievements of the authority over the past year. He noted significant progress in personnel registration and numbering through administrative committees and the unified military card system. He also reported that 80% of the entitlements for the promotions of martyrs and wounded soldiers have been completed.

Exhibition and Recognition

Following the speeches, the Chief of Staff, along with the Inspector General and department heads, toured the accompanying exhibition, including the Morale Guidance Department’s booth, which showcased its media, cultural activities, and morale-boosting programs.

At the conclusion of the event, the Human Forces Authority honored graduates of the 17th Leadership and Staff Course, as well as those from mandatory and qualifying courses. The ceremony also featured a well-received poem by Colonel Khaled Al-Amoudi.

This event marks a significant step in the ongoing efforts to enhance the capabilities and morale of Yemen’s armed forces as they prepare for future challenges.
