Minister Emphasizes Support for Women in Healthcare Sector

Dr. Qassem Bahibeh, the Minister of Public Health and Population, highlighted the importance of supporting women in the healthcare sector during a ceremony held in Aden. This event celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8 and aimed to empower women in various leadership roles within the ministry.

Women as Pillars of Society

In his speech, Dr. Bahibeh underscored that women serve as the foundation for building communities and represent an endless source of contributions. He acknowledged the significant roles women play in both urban and rural healthcare settings, emphasizing their relentless efforts in delivering essential health services.

Commitment to Empowerment

Dr. Bahibeh announced that the ministry will actively support women and youth, helping them overcome challenges they face in the workplace. He praised the efforts of the Women and Youth Affairs Department in promoting equality and fostering an inclusive environment within the ministry.

Dr. Zainab Al-Qaisi, Director General of the Women and Youth Affairs Department, noted that the recognition event serves as a tribute to the struggles of Yemeni and global women in their fight against discrimination and inequality. She emphasized the significance of this day in honoring their achievements and ongoing efforts.
