Marib, Yemen – Today, Major General Khalid Al-Ashwal, the Chief of Operations for the Armed Forces, convened a significant meeting in Marib. The gathering included his assistants, directors of various departments, the Engineering Fortifications Unit, the commander of the Sixth Drone Brigade, and leaders from the Third, Sixth, and Seventh Military Regions.
At the meeting’s outset, Major General Ahmed Al-Yafai, the Chief of Intelligence and Reconnaissance, joined the discussions. Attendees reviewed the latest developments across various fronts and assessed operational plans aimed at enhancing coordination and combat readiness. Al-Ashwal praised the dedication and efforts of the military personnel in fulfilling their national duties. He emphasized the importance of teamwork in defending the nation and countering the Houthi terrorist organization, which continues to threaten Yemen and the broader region.
During the meeting, Major General Al-Ashwal and Major General Al-Yafai listened to detailed reports from department heads, the Engineering Fortifications Unit, and the Sixth Drone Brigade. In closing remarks, Major General Al-Yafai expressed satisfaction with the existing coordination within the Ministry of Defense, particularly between the Operations and Intelligence and Reconnaissance Departments.
