The Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Dr. Saleh Al-Fawzan, condemned the Houthi militia’s attacks on civilian facilities and the loss of innocent lives, particularly those of pilgrims visiting the holy sites. He described these actions as a grave crime with severe consequences.
In a statement published by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Grand Mufti emphasized, “The targeting of civilian facilities by the terrorist Houthi militias, and the killing of innocent lives, including those of pilgrims to the Sacred Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, constitutes one of the greatest crimes for which Allah Almighty has promised a painful punishment.”
He further remarked, “Throughout history, no group has followed the path of this criminal gang in attacking sacred sites and those who seek to visit His Sacred House without facing dire consequences.” He prayed for the eradication of these criminals and for the protection of the Kingdom and the Muslim world.
