In a recent meeting, Shabwa Governor Awad bin al-Wazir emphasized the urgent need to eliminate illegal buildings in the city of Ataq and its urban streets. He stressed the importance of preserving the city’s modern residential plans.
During a session held in Ataq, Governor bin al-Wazir reiterated his directives to the Public Services Committee. He urged the committee to exercise broad authority to halt encroachments on the streets and plans of Ataq. The governor called for the removal of any unauthorized constructions, which he noted are currently limited in number. Furthermore, he insisted on taking legal action against those who commit such violations to prevent future occurrences.
Mohammed al-Marzqi, head of the Public Services Committee in Shabwa, confirmed that the committee has already begun the process of removing illegal structures. The initial focus will be on areas surrounding the sports city and along Al-Hazm and Al-Murur streets.
The governor’s proactive approach aims to maintain the integrity of urban planning in Ataq. By addressing illegal constructions, the administration seeks to enhance the city’s aesthetic and functional aspects, ensuring a better living environment for its residents.
