Marib, Yemen – On Sunday, the General Police Training Center in Marib executed a military march covering 25 kilometers for participants of the third “Thunderbolt” training course. This event included members from the Special Security Forces, Facility Protection Police, Traffic Police, and several officers from non-liberated provinces.
The military march followed the completion of a comprehensive training program aimed at developing professional security personnel. The course focused on enhancing combat readiness and physical fitness among security forces, thereby improving their operational efficiency. Participants learned to execute their security and national duties effectively.
Brigadier General Khaled Saleh Al-Sabahi, director of the General Police Training Center, stated that the third “Thunderbolt” course targeted Ministry of Interior personnel from various provinces. Participants underwent an intensive training regimen that included physical and military exercises, along with lectures on legal and security knowledge. The program also emphasized fostering a sense of security awareness and instilling national loyalty values, which are crucial for building their capabilities and field readiness.
Al-Sabahi explained that the military march served as a practical assessment to evaluate the physical fitness, endurance, and military discipline acquired by the trainees during their training period. This event reflected the level of preparation achieved by the participants.
The director expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from the Ministry of Interior leadership in training and developing security personnel. He thanked the training staff, course leaders, and all contributors to the success of the training program, which aims to prepare capable and responsible security forces.
This initiative highlights the commitment to enhancing the skills and readiness of Yemen’s security personnel, ensuring they can effectively serve and protect their communities.
