Yemeni Foreign Minister Arrives in Kuwait for Official Visit
Dr. Shai’a Al-Zandani, Yemen’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, arrived in Kuwait City for an official visit. During this trip, he plans to meet with several Kuwaiti officials to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation across various sectors. Additionally, the visit includes signing memorandums of understanding that will benefit the mutual interests of both nations.
Strengthening Historical Ties
In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Minister Al-Zandani emphasized the historical and distinguished nature of Yemeni-Kuwaiti relations. He noted that Kuwait has consistently supported Yemen through various stages and challenges, demonstrating genuine brotherhood and a sense of historical responsibility towards the Yemeni people.
Acknowledging Humanitarian Contributions
Minister Al-Zandani highlighted Kuwait’s significant humanitarian contributions over the decades. He pointed out that numerous projects initiated by Kuwait continue to symbolize solidarity with Yemen. He expressed gratitude to the Kuwaiti government and its people for their unwavering support during challenging times.
Warm Welcome at Kuwait International Airport
Upon his arrival at Kuwait International Airport, Minister Al-Zandani received a warm welcome from several officials. Among them were Ahmad Al-Baker, Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab Affairs, Khalid Al-Ajmi, Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for Protocol Affairs, and Dr. Ali Bin Saffar, Yemen’s Ambassador to Kuwait.
This visit marks another step in reinforcing the strong ties between Yemen and Kuwait, focusing on collaboration and mutual support in various fields.
