Manama Forum 2024 Provides Platform for Dialogue

Dr. Shaya’ Al-Zandani, Yemen’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, engaged in discussions today with Germany’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Tobias Lindner. Their meeting occurred during the Regional Security Forum, known as the Manama Dialogue 2024. The two officials focused on enhancing and developing bilateral relations between Yemen and Germany, aiming to align their efforts with mutual interests.

Yemen’s Appreciation for German Support

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Zandani expressed Yemen’s gratitude for the humanitarian and developmental assistance provided by the German government. He highlighted how these efforts significantly alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people, underscoring the importance of international support in addressing the ongoing crisis.

Germany’s Commitment to Yemen’s Peace Efforts

In response, Minister Lindner reaffirmed Germany’s commitment to supporting the Yemeni government. He emphasized Germany’s dedication to international and regional efforts aimed at ending the conflict and achieving lasting peace in Yemen. Lindner also confirmed that Germany will continue its humanitarian and developmental aid to Yemen, demonstrating a strong commitment to the country’s recovery.

Attendance of Yemeni Ambassador

The meeting included the presence of Dr. Ali Al-Ahmadi, Yemen’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, who contributed to the discussions on enhancing bilateral ties.

This dialogue marks a significant step in fostering cooperation between Yemen and Germany, as both nations work towards shared goals of stability and humanitarian assistance in the region.
