Fifth Presidential Protection Brigade Launches 2026 Training Year

On Thursday, Major General Abdul Aziz Al-Majidi, the Chief of Staff for the Taiz Axis, officially inaugurated the combat, operational, and morale training year for 2026 at the Fifth Presidential Protection Brigade.

Acknowledging Efforts and Readiness

During the ceremony, which included the presence of the Chief of Operations for the axis, Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Najjar, and Colonel Ammar Al-Jandabi, the brigade’s Chief of Staff, Major General Al-Majidi praised the excellent organization and attendance. He highlighted the brigade’s commitment to preparation, discipline, and readiness, noting their advanced execution capabilities. He conveyed greetings from the political and military leadership, represented by President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

Emphasizing Political and Military Integration

Major General Al-Majidi underscored the importance of the efforts made by the political leadership and their Saudi allies. He emphasized the need to integrate military units within the frameworks of the Ministries of Defense and Interior. This integration aims to unify military decision-making and enhance institutional performance.

Recognizing Sacrifices and Training Importance

The Major General expressed deep appreciation for the significant sacrifices made by the heroes of the Fifth Brigade and their steadfastness in defending Taiz and the nation. He stressed the critical role of training in improving combat readiness and efficiency. He called for heightened vigilance and preparedness for the ongoing battle to liberate Taiz and the entire country, with the ultimate goal of reaching Sana’a and restoring the state from the Iran-backed Houthi militia.

Overview of Achievements and Future Plans

Colonel Abdul Samad Al-Majz, the advisor to the brigade commander, reviewed the key tasks and achievements accomplished by the brigade over the past year. He also outlined the training plan for the current year, asserting that 2026 will be a year filled with training, qualification, and accomplishments, pushing forward towards the liberation of Taiz and every inch of the homeland.

Honoring Outstanding Performers

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the brigade recognized outstanding officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers with certificates of appreciation for their exemplary performance in training courses.
