The Defense Minister reaffirms the ministry’s commitment to enhancing logistical support development.

Minister of Defense Emphasizes Support for Logistics Development

Today, Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Taher Al-Aqeeli held a meeting with the leadership of the Logistics Support Authority in Marib Governorate. The meeting focused on evaluating performance and the execution of tasks and programs related to logistical support.

Commitment to Enhancing Military Capabilities

During the meeting, Minister Al-Aqeeli, accompanied by his assistants and several military leaders, praised the efforts of the Logistics Support Authority’s leadership. He stressed the importance of continuously improving the methods and practices employed by the authority. This improvement aligns with the current demands and the Ministry of Defense’s vision to enhance the military support system.

Furthermore, Lieutenant General Al-Aqeeli confirmed the Ministry of Defense’s readiness to provide necessary support to the Logistics Support Authority and its departments. This support includes supplying the authority’s needs, which will enhance performance, increase efficiency, and boost the readiness of the armed forces.

Assessing Achievements and Challenges

Major General Abdulaziz Al-Faqih, head of the Logistics Support Authority, expressed gratitude for the Ministry’s attention and support. He noted that this visit holds significant importance for reinforcing positive aspects and addressing shortcomings.

Minister Al-Aqeeli listened to a briefing on the Logistics Support Authority’s activities for the first half of 2026, presented by Major General Abdulaleem Hassan, the assistant head of the authority and head of the military medical committee. The briefing highlighted key achievements, the implementation of plans and programs, as well as existing challenges and needs.

Visit to the Physical Therapy Center

Following the meeting, Minister Al-Aqeeli conducted an inspection tour of the Physical Therapy and Prosthetics Center. He reviewed the medical and rehabilitation services provided to injured personnel and patients from the armed forces. The Minister received a detailed explanation of the center’s operations and the therapeutic and rehabilitation programs it offers.

Additionally, Minister Al-Aqeeli met with several injured personnel to discuss their needs. He directed the relevant authorities to expedite urgent financial support for the center, ensuring the provision of essential resources and the continuation of comprehensive medical and rehabilitation services.
