Tribes in the Dhu Mohammed region of Al-Jawf Governorate have accused Houthi militias of abducting wounded members after their transfer to hospitals in Saada. This incident follows clashes that left several individuals injured.
Sources from the tribes report that Houthi elements kidnapped five wounded individuals from the Dhu Mohammed tribe. They allegedly assaulted these individuals in the operating rooms of Saada hospitals before transferring them to prisons. Tribal sources condemned this act as a blatant violation of tribal customs and a significant disgrace.
The tribes have issued a stern warning to Houthi leaders in Al-Jawf and Saada, including Abu Faris Al-Hamzi, Abu Hassan Al-Shamaa, and Faisal bin Haidar. They demanded the immediate release of the abducted wounded, expressing concern for their safety.
The wounded individuals sustained injuries during tribal clashes between the Al-Jazilan and Al-Abaas families last week. Houthi forces reportedly abducted them two days ago, escalating tensions in the region.
Recent reports indicate a noticeable decline in Houthi power within Al-Jawf. Their organizational structure has weakened, leading to increased tribal confrontations. These clashes have resulted in casualties, including the death of prominent Houthi leader and tribal chief Abu Radwan Khalid bin Hithal last Thursday.
The following significant confrontations have occurred in Al-Jawf over the past few days:
The situation in Al-Jawf remains tense as tribal conflicts continue to escalate, raising concerns about the safety and security of the local population.
