Today, Yemen’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Mustafa Noman, engaged in discussions with UAE State Minister Ahmed Al-Sayegh. The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations and emphasized the significance of the upcoming inaugural session of the Joint Consular Committee between the two countries’ foreign ministries. Both officials recognized the importance of activating the Joint Ministerial Committee to better serve the interests of Yemen and the UAE.
During the meeting, which took place on the sidelines of the eighth Indian Ocean Conference in Muscat, Deputy Minister Noman expressed gratitude on behalf of the Presidential Leadership Council, the Yemeni government, and the Yemeni people. He highlighted the UAE’s steadfast support and its contributions to developmental interventions and humanitarian aid. These efforts play a crucial role in alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni population, particularly in renewable energy, infrastructure, and healthcare.
In response, UAE State Minister Al-Sayegh reaffirmed his country’s unwavering support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the Yemeni government. He emphasized the UAE’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation and providing ongoing developmental and humanitarian assistance to the Yemeni people.
The meeting also included several key figures, such as the Yemeni Consul in Muscat, Advisor Mohammed Al-Muhaqani, and Advisor Alaa Afara, who oversees the Gulf and Island Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Dr. Lara Al-Abbasi, a member of the Ministry’s office, also participated in the discussions.
This meeting marks a significant step in fostering collaboration between Yemen and the UAE, aiming to enhance mutual interests and support for the Yemeni people during challenging times.
