Minister of Defense Praises Combat Readiness of Military Region Seven

The Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Taher Al-Aqeeli, recently commended the combat readiness and high morale of personnel in Military Region Seven. During his visit to the region’s command, he expressed appreciation for the dedication of troops stationed across various operational sites.

Al-Aqeeli conveyed greetings from the highest political and military leadership, emphasizing that Military Region Seven serves as a cornerstone in building the armed forces. He underscored its critical role as a striking force in the battle to restore the state, aiming to reach the capital, Sana’a. The Minister also acknowledged the significant sacrifices made by its members in confronting the Iran-backed Houthi militia.

During the visit, Al-Aqeeli received a detailed briefing from Major General Mohammed Al-Muntasir, the commander of Military Region Seven. The briefing covered the progress of combat operations, the deployment of units, and their overall readiness. Additionally, it highlighted key achievements in operational, training, and administrative aspects.

Major General Al-Muntasir expressed gratitude for the Minister’s visit, noting that it reflects the military leadership’s commitment to enhancing field performance. He pointed out that Military Region Seven has consistently led the armed forces, demonstrating valor and sacrifice in defense of the revolution, the republic, and national gains.

The Minister was accompanied by several high-ranking officials during the visit, including Major General Mohammed Batis, Assistant Minister of Defense for Human Resources, Major General Musfer Al-Harithi, Deputy Inspector General, and Major General Mohammed Ghaleb Al-Suwadi, Advisor to the Minister of Defense.

This visit underscores the ongoing efforts to bolster the capabilities of the armed forces in Yemen, as they continue to face significant challenges in the region.
