Today, Minister of Defense Major General Dr. Taher Al-Aqeeli attended the graduation ceremony for the second semester of the 2026 training year. This event took place at the specialized schools under the Operations Authority.
In his speech, Minister Al-Aqeeli conveyed the greetings of the political and military leadership, represented by President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, and the council members. He expressed appreciation for the graduates and those involved in the training and qualification programs.
Minister Al-Aqeeli praised the efforts of the Operations Authority and specialized schools in preparing and qualifying military personnel. He emphasized that these quality programs serve as a fundamental pillar for enhancing the efficiency and readiness of the armed forces.
The minister highlighted the importance of keeping pace with rapid developments in military and security training. He stressed the need to advance specialized education systems to equip the front lines with qualified young personnel. These individuals must possess the scientific, intellectual, and practical skills necessary to meet the demands of modern warfare.
Additionally, Al-Aqeeli acknowledged the significant presence of women in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence fields. He noted that female competencies have become a valuable asset to the military institution in advanced technological areas.
Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Ashoul, Head of the Operations Authority, affirmed that the graduates possess the skills and knowledge required to effectively engage in modern joint warfare. He appreciated the support from the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff for training and qualification programs.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, top graduates from various specialized courses received recognition for their academic and training excellence. This acknowledgment underscores the commitment to fostering a skilled and capable military workforce.
