On Saturday, Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Daari attended the graduation ceremony for the 52nd batch of the Military Academy in Aden, the temporary capital of Yemen. The event drew a significant audience, including several ministers and military and security leaders.
During the ceremony, Minister Al-Daari congratulated the graduates on their successful completion of three years of rigorous training. He conveyed the congratulations of the political leadership, represented by Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, and other council members. This celebration coincided with the 58th anniversary of Yemen’s national independence.
Lieutenant General Al-Daari emphasized that revitalizing the Military Academy, which had been inactive for a decade due to war, marks a pivotal moment in rebuilding the armed forces. He praised the faculty and leadership for their dedication in achieving this milestone despite challenging circumstances.
The Minister highlighted the importance of graduates serving as role models in military discipline. He urged them to share their knowledge with their units and stressed the need to update curricula and training programs to align with modern military advancements. Al-Daari also expressed gratitude for the support from the coalition led by Saudi Arabia.
The ceremony featured an impressive military display showcasing the skills of the graduates. Attendees enjoyed speeches, poetry recitations, and the military oath. The event concluded with the announcement of the graduates’ promotion to the rank of Second Lieutenant, celebrated by a wide array of officials and military leaders.
