President Alimi Celebrates Yemen's National Holidays with Call for Unity and Resilience

Commemorating Historic Revolutions

In a heartfelt address, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, head of the Presidential Leadership Council, extended his greetings to the Yemeni people on the occasion of several significant national holidays. These include the 62nd anniversary of the September 26 Revolution, the 61st anniversary of the October 14 Revolution, and the 57th anniversary of the historic November 30 Independence Day.

President Alimi emphasized the importance of these national events, stating, “These are our great national occasions, permanently present in the hearts and lives of our people.”

A Call for Action and Responsibility

The President acknowledged the unwavering commitment of Yemeni people to honor the legacy of the revolution’s leaders. He urged citizens to rally around the armed forces and security forces, transforming these commemorations into a call for action and unity. “We must engage in the battle to restore state institutions and defend our dignity, freedom, and republic with arms, funds, and words,” he asserted.

He clarified that these celebrations are not merely about honoring past heroics but are part of an ongoing mission to liberate Yemen from terrorism, oppression, and the ignorance propagated by the Houthi regime.

The Spirit of Change

President Alimi noted that the annual celebrations reflect the enduring spirit of change within the Yemeni people. He described the enthusiasm surrounding these events as a public referendum on the timeless principles of the September Revolution and a clear rejection of the new imamate and its unlawful coup.

He remarked, “The September 26 Revolution represented a creative culmination of the struggles and sacrifices of generations of Yemenis from both the north and south. It ended the oppressive imamate regime and paved the way for a future based on equality and justice.”

Acknowledging the Armed Forces

In his address, President Alimi praised the armed forces and the popular resistance fighters for their steadfastness on the front lines. “You have been the rock against the illusions of the Houthi militia, safeguarding Yemen’s unity and identity against Iranian influence,” he stated. He expressed unwavering confidence in their courage and sacrifices.

The Path to Peace and Prosperity

The President stressed that a secure and prosperous future for Yemen depends on strong relations with Arab nations, particularly the coalition supporting legitimacy led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. He emphasized that this relationship is not just a current necessity but a historical and geographical reality.

He thanked Saudi Arabia and the UAE for their genuine support for Yemen and its legitimate government, underscoring the importance of collective efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region.

Commitment to Palestine

On a broader scale, President Alimi reaffirmed Yemen’s solidarity with Palestine, calling it one of the nation’s sacred causes. He condemned the ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestinians and called for Arab and Islamic unity in confronting Israeli atrocities. He urged the international community to hold Israel accountable and provide urgent humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people.

In closing, President Alimi reiterated his commitment to building a better Yemen through institutional reform, anti-corruption efforts, and the establishment of a secure environment for political engagement. He called on the Yemeni people to remain resilient and united in their quest for freedom and dignity.

“Long live the martyrs, and may peace be upon you,” he concluded.
