President Alimi Meets with Coalition Forces Commander to Discuss Military Coordination

 

Strengthening Ties and Enhancing Military Capabilities

On Wednesday, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, the head of the Presidential Leadership Council and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, welcomed Major General Mohammed Bashir Al-Anzi, the Commander of Support and Reinforcement Forces in the Coalition to Support Legitimacy. The meeting took place at Al-Maashiq Palace and included Defense Minister Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Dhaeri and Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Sagheer Bin Aziz.

Current Operational Status and Coordination Efforts

During the meeting, the leaders discussed the current operational status of joint forces and explored mechanisms for coordination and cooperation with the Yemeni Armed Forces. They emphasized the importance of enhancing institutional and military capabilities to better serve the nation.

Appreciation for Saudi Support

President Alimi expressed profound gratitude for the supportive stance of Saudi Arabia, led by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He acknowledged their generous interventions aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people and supporting their aspirations for restoring state institutions, security, stability, peace, and development.

Acknowledgment of Joint Forces’ Role

The President also praised the effective role of the joint forces alongside the Yemeni Armed Forces. He highlighted the critical support provided to the Yemeni people across various sectors, reinforcing the commitment to national unity and resilience.

The meeting also included the presence of Major General Ahmed Al-Aqeeli, Director of the Supreme Commander’s Office, and Major General Saleh Al-Maqalih, Director of the Presidential Leadership Council’s Office.

This meeting underscores the ongoing collaboration between Yemen and coalition forces, aiming to enhance military operations and support the Yemeni people in their quest for peace and stability.
