In a significant meeting, Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, met with Gabriel Monera Vinales, the outgoing European Union Ambassador to Yemen. This encounter marked the conclusion of Vinales’ tenure as the EU representative in the country.
During their discussion, both leaders highlighted the strong bilateral relations between Yemen and the European Union. They also addressed the current situation in Yemen and its regional implications, emphasizing shared interests and mutual concerns.
President Alimi expressed gratitude for the European Union’s unwavering support for the Yemeni people and their political leadership. He acknowledged the EU’s commitment to helping Yemen restore its state institutions, security, stability, and peace.
The President praised Ambassador Vinales for his efforts in enhancing the relationship between Yemen and the European Union. He recognized Vinales’ deep understanding of the Yemeni context and wished him success in his future endeavors.
The meeting also included Major General Saleh Al-Maqalih, Director of the Presidential Leadership Council Office, who contributed to the discussions.
