President Rashad Mohammed Alimi, head of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, has departed from Abu Dhabi after a multi-day official visit. Accompanying him was council member Othman Majali.
During his visit, President Alimi joined the United Arab Emirates in celebrating its 53rd National Day, which included a grand official parade in Al Ain. His participation also coincided with the commemoration of Martyrs’ Day, honoring those who have sacrificed their lives for the nation.
At Al Bateen Executive Airport, the President received a warm farewell. Emirati Minister of Justice Abdullah Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi and Yemen’s Ambassador to the UAE, Fahd Al-Manhali, were present to bid him goodbye.
In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), President Alimi expressed his gratitude for the steadfast support provided by the UAE, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He highlighted the UAE’s commitment to alleviating the humanitarian suffering faced by the Yemeni people, which has been exacerbated by the Iranian-backed Houthi militias.
President Alimi also commended the rapid urban and developmental progress witnessed in the UAE. He emphasized the robust bilateral relations between Yemen and the UAE, which continue to strengthen across various levels.
