In a heartfelt message, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, head of the Presidential Leadership Council, extended his condolences to Sheikh Taher Yahya Al-Adhri and his family following the death of their father, the late Sheikh Major General Yahya bin Abdullah Al-Adhri. The former governor of Amran Province passed away after a life dedicated to struggle and national service.
President Alimi expressed profound sadness on behalf of the council members and the government, conveying his sincere sympathies to the Al-Adhri family during this difficult time. He praised the late Sheikh Al-Adhri for his remarkable contributions as a distinguished leader in the 26th September Revolution. Furthermore, he highlighted Al-Adhri’s courageous stance against the Houthi militia’s coup and its divisive agenda.
The President emphasized that the nation has lost a dedicated patriot with the passing of Sheikh Al-Adhri. He noted that Al-Adhri left a significant mark on the national struggle for freedom and the defense of the republican system and its achievements. President Alimi acknowledged Al-Adhri’s commitment and dedication across various roles in parliamentary, military, and civil sectors, as well as his notable contributions to charitable work and community reconciliation.
In closing, President Alimi prayed for the Almighty to grant Sheikh Al-Adhri eternal mercy and to place him in paradise. He also asked for patience and solace for the family and loved ones left behind.
