On Saturday, the Armed Forces successfully repelled multiple hostile attempts by Iranian-backed Houthi militias across various combat fronts in the Marib and Al-Jawf governorates.
Military sources reported that the Armed Forces thwarted Houthi operations in the “Raghwan” front, located in northern Marib. The forces forced the militants to retreat and flee, demonstrating their operational effectiveness in the region.
According to these sources, the Armed Forces inflicted significant casualties on the Houthi militias, both in terms of personnel and equipment. However, the conflict resulted in the tragic loss of one soldier from the Armed Forces, with several others sustaining injuries.
Simultaneously, the Iranian-backed Houthi militias continued their aggressive actions by targeting the Armed Forces’ positions across various sectors. They employed heavy artillery, Katyusha rockets, drones, and sniper weapons in their assaults, indicating a sustained effort to undermine the military’s capabilities.
In response, the Armed Forces successfully disabled and destroyed heavy machinery and equipment belonging to the militias in several sectors of Marib and Al-Jawf. This equipment had been used by the Houthis to construct fortifications and create new pathways in frontline areas.
In recent weeks, the Houthi militias have transported excavation equipment and heavy machinery to frontline areas. They have been digging trenches and building earthen barriers while also planting landmines in numerous locations. These actions highlight the ongoing threat posed by the militias and their attempts to strengthen their positions.
The situation remains tense as the Armed Forces continue to engage in defensive operations against the Houthi threat, striving to maintain stability in the region.
