The Emergency Committee in Taiz announced today, Thursday, the suspension of classes in public and private schools, colleges, and universities located in districts under the control of the Houthi terrorist militias. The committee granted temporary leave to employees working in these institutions to ensure the safety of citizens amid the exceptional security conditions in those areas.
The committee clarified in its circular that the decision resulted from the inability to maintain regular operations and classes in several districts. This measure aims to protect employees, students, and educational and administrative staff while preventing civilians from facing risks.
This decision comes amid the recent Houthi escalation, which has posed a direct threat to the safety of civilians in several districts of the governorate.
