Meeting in Al-Dhale Discusses Humanitarian and Service Interventions

A meeting held today in Al-Dhale Governorate, chaired by Governor Ahmed Al-Qubba, brought together representatives from local organizations, development institutions, and civil society organizations operating in the area. The participants discussed the level of joint coordination and mechanisms to enhance humanitarian and service interventions to meet the field needs of citizens.

Review of Local Organizations’ Activities

The meeting, which included First Deputy Governor Colonel Saleh Ahmed and Director General of Police Colonel Eidros Al-Thawir, reviewed a joint report from the Planning and International Cooperation Office and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor. This report provided a comprehensive evaluation of the activities of local organizations and institutions, along with several guidelines and recommendations aimed at organizing work and regulating targeting standards based on the needs submitted and approved by local authority leaders in the districts.

Emphasis on Coordination and Data Management

Governor Al-Qubba emphasized the necessity of subjecting all projects and field activities to prior institutional coordination with local authority leadership and relevant executive offices. He noted that adhering to official work pathways and updating shared databases would help direct humanitarian interventions and development projects toward the most needy areas and families, addressing shortcomings that accompanied previous work phases.

Commitment to Security and Administrative Support

The local authority and security agencies reiterated their commitment to securing the offices and teams of organizations and facilitating any administrative and field challenges that may hinder their work. This support aims to ensure the smooth implementation of programs and activities.

Organizations’ Commitment to Coordination

Representatives from the organizations confirmed their commitment to working within the framework of direct coordination with the relevant offices. They pledged to include priority developmental and humanitarian needs in Al-Dhale in their plans submitted to donors, thereby enhancing project sustainability and efficiency.
