Business leaders, traders, and expatriates in Taiz Governorate are gearing up to launch the “Hafiz” initiative aimed at supporting public education. Sami Shamsan, a prominent businessman, announced the initiative in a recent Facebook post. He revealed that a meeting held at the Taiz Chamber of Commerce approved initial support for three public schools. As financial resources become available, the initiative plans to expand its reach.
Shamsan highlighted that the Yemeni community in China has already contributed an initial donation of ten million riyals, marking the first significant support for the initiative. He assured the public that more details will be announced in the coming days, inviting those interested in joining and supporting the cause to participate.
The launch of the Hafiz initiative coincides with the preparations of hundreds of thousands of primary and secondary school students to return to classes starting next Sunday. This return will take place in thousands of public schools across the liberated areas of the governorate.
The Hafiz initiative represents a significant step towards enhancing educational opportunities in Taiz, reflecting the community’s commitment to improving public education.
