Weather Forecast: Mild Conditions Expected Along Coastal Regions

The General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology’s Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center has predicted partly cloudy and mild temperatures for coastal areas today, Monday. Scattered rain may occur in parts of the southern coasts and adjacent highlands, including the Socotra Archipelago. Winds will remain light to moderate along the eastern and southern coasts, while they will be active on the western coasts and Bab al-Mandab.

Mountainous Regions to Experience Cold Nights

According to the daily weather bulletin, the mountainous regions will enjoy clear weather but will experience very cold temperatures during the night and early morning, particularly in the western highlands. The southern highlands and interior plateaus will also feel the chill. The forecast indicates that desert and plateau areas will have clear and moderate weather during the day, turning cold at night, accompanied by active winds.

Health Advisory for Vulnerable Groups

The center has issued a warning to citizens, particularly the elderly and children, about the significant drop in nighttime temperatures. Residents are urged to take necessary precautions. Additionally, farmers, livestock breeders, and beekeepers should protect their assets from the effects of severe cold.

Marine Conditions and Safety Warnings

In its marine bulletin, the center forecasts light waves along the coasts of Al-Mahra and Hadramout, with light to moderate conditions in Shabwa, Abyan, and Aden. Moderate waves are expected in Bab al-Mandab, the western coasts, and the Socotra Archipelago. The Arabian Sea and Gulf of Aden will also see moderate conditions, while the Red Sea will experience moderate waves. The center has cautioned sea-goers and fishermen along the western coasts and in the Red Sea about potential disturbances, high waves, and strong winds.
