South Korea’s foreign reserves increased in October, supported by a rise in foreign currency assets and positive returns from reserve management.
The Bank of Korea reported that the country’s foreign reserves reached 443.16 billion dollars by the end of October, marking an increase of 2.6 billion dollars compared to the previous month.
The central bank attributed this growth to an increase in foreign currency deposits held by financial institutions, along with profits generated from managing foreign assets.
This rise in reserves reflects an improvement in the country’s foreign asset volume, enhancing its ability to withstand financial fluctuations and support monetary stability.
