In a significant operation, joint security forces in the Al-Mudharabah and Ras al-Arah districts, led by Brigadier General Hamdi Shukri of the Second Giants Brigade, successfully intercepted a smuggling boat loaded with a substantial quantity of narcotics. The operation took place off the coast of Khour Amira, resulting in the arrest of four smugglers aboard the vessel.
This operation followed meticulous intelligence gathering. The maritime patrols executed a well-coordinated plan to intercept the boat approximately 20 miles offshore. During the operation, authorities seized and secured 536 packages of methamphetamine, 100 bags of hashish, and 10 bags of heroin, all under the supervision of the specialized criminal prosecution office.
This successful operation represents a significant blow to smuggling networks operating in the region. It highlights the vigilance of security agencies in safeguarding Yemen’s coastlines against illegal activities. The proactive measures taken by the forces demonstrate their commitment to combating drug trafficking and enhancing public safety.
