Saudi Arabia Reaffirms Support for Presidential Leadership Council and Government
Saudi Arabia has reiterated its full support for the Presidential Leadership Council, the legitimate government, and the Yemeni people in their efforts to end the coup and restore the state and its institutions from the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militias.
Houthi Militias Escalate Military Actions
During a cabinet meeting held today, chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Saudi Council of Ministers emphasized that the Houthi terrorist militias have chosen military escalation as an alternative to peace. This choice deepens the humanitarian and economic suffering of Yemen and its people while continuing to threaten the region and maritime navigation in the southern Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
Solidarity Among Defense Coalition
The Saudi cabinet praised the outcomes of the emergency meeting of the Political and Defense Strategic Committee of the Mecca Defense Coalition. According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the meeting underscored the solidarity among the three countries and their unified stance against the unjust attacks on the Kingdom, which included assaults on Mecca, Medina, and civilian and economic facilities. The meeting resulted in an agreement to activate collective deterrence and to move immediately to implement commitments for joint defense, enhancing military readiness and integration to counter these threats.
