Yemeni Prime Minister Discusses Educational Support with Qatar's Education Above All Foundation
Doha, Qatar – In a significant move to bolster Yemen’s educational sector, Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak met with Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of the Education Above All Foundation, in Doha on Tuesday. The meeting focused on exploring potential interventions by the foundation to support the Yemeni government’s efforts in education.
Sustainable Educational Projects
The discussions highlighted the importance of implementing sustainable educational projects at the national level, particularly in areas where displaced populations are returning. Enhancing the educational system, supporting teachers, constructing educational complexes in key provinces and rural areas, and building specialized schools for children with special needs and mine victims were among the key topics.
Addressing Educational Challenges
Prime Minister bin Mubarak presented a comprehensive overview of the educational landscape in Yemen, outlining the challenges, priorities, and needs for improving the educational process. He expressed hope for effective support from Qatar to help the government maintain educational operations and protect future generations.

The meeting saw the participation of key figures, including Yemen’s Minister of Education Tariq Al Akbari, Yemen’s Ambassador to Qatar Rajeh Badi, the Prime Minister’s Office Director Engineer Anis Baharitha, and the Prime Minister’s Advisor Ambassador Mujeeb Osman, underscoring the high level of commitment to advancing education in Yemen.
