Over 7,560 Beneficiaries Served by Prosthetic and Rehabilitation Centers in Yemen

Prosthetic and rehabilitation centers in the provinces of Aden, Taiz, Marib, and Sayoun achieved significant results in the first half of 2026. More than 7,560 individuals benefited from their services as part of a humanitarian project implemented by the International Association for the Care of War and Disaster Victims (Al-Amin), with support from the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Works.

Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services Provided

During this period, the centers delivered over 47,490 medical, therapeutic, and technical services. These services included medical examinations, physical therapy, mobility rehabilitation, and the maintenance and adjustment of prosthetic limbs and orthopedic devices. Additionally, training sessions on the use of these devices, along with follow-up and evaluation sessions, significantly improved the quality of life for thousands of beneficiaries. This support empowered individuals to regain their mobility and reintegrate into society.

Customized Prosthetics and Orthopedic Devices

By the end of the first half of this year, the centers manufactured and fitted approximately 580 prosthetic limbs and orthopedic devices. Each device was tailored to meet the specific needs of the beneficiaries while adhering to medical and technical standards. This initiative enabled many amputees and individuals with mobility impairments to regain their independence and return to their daily lives.

Ongoing Humanitarian Efforts

The project continues to provide humanitarian services through a comprehensive system of specialized medical and technical staff. Utilizing the latest methods in rehabilitation, physical therapy, and prosthetic manufacturing, the initiative enhances the quality of services offered to beneficiaries. This project stands out as one of the most significant health and humanitarian initiatives supported by the King Salman Center for Relief in Yemen. It directly alleviates the suffering of victims of war, accidents, and diseases that cause disabilities, facilitating their reintegration into society.
