National Football Team Faces Iraq in Gulf Cup Opener

The national football team will face Iraq tomorrow, Sunday, in the opening match of Group B at the 26th Gulf Cup, hosted by Kuwait.

Preparation and Strategy

In a press conference held today, the coaching staff, led by Algerian coach Nourredine Ould Ali, emphasized that the preparation for this tournament differs significantly from previous competitions. Coach Ould Ali highlighted that the team has undergone thorough preparations, ensuring a balance between foreign professionals and local league players.

Despite the challenges posed by the match, the coach expressed confidence that the team will strive to deliver a commendable performance and achieve positive results.

The national team conducted its training yesterday at the Youth Club Stadium in Kuwait in preparation for the match, which will take place at Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah Stadium.

This tournament marks the national team’s participation following a series of friendly matches held during training camps in Qatar, Malaysia, and Oman.
