In a significant move towards digital transformation, the Deputy Minister of Information, Hussein Basalim, inaugurated the issuance of electronic identity cards for employees of official media institutions today in Aden, Yemen’s temporary capital.
The launch event, attended by notable figures including the President of the October 14 Foundation for Press, Printing, and Publishing, Mohammed Bashrahil, showcased the collaborative efforts to streamline the process. General Sindh Jameel, head of the Civil Status and Civil Registry, briefed Basalim on the mechanisms of distributing the electronic cards and the strategies to overcome potential obstacles.
Basalim commended the concerted efforts of all parties involved in facilitating the acquisition of electronic IDs by media personnel.
