Yemen's Minister of Endowments Chairs First Meeting of the High Institute for Guidance and Counseling in Aden

Aden’s Temporary Capital Hosts Inaugural Council Meeting

In Aden, the temporary capital, Dr. Mohamed Shabibah, the Minister of Endowments and Guidance, chaired the first meeting of the Board of Directors of the High Institute for Guidance and Counseling on Monday. The meeting, attended by the Deputy Minister for the Guidance Sector, Dr. Abdul Nasser Al-Khatri, covered a range of general topics listed on the agenda.

Review and Decisions on Key Educational Matters

The council reviewed several important issues, including the certification process from religious institutions and schools, and the complementary secondary education. Decisions necessary to address these topics were made during the session.

Institute’s Operations and Development Initiatives Discussed

The meeting also delved into the roles and responsibilities of the institute’s board, featuring a detailed report from Sheikh Kamal Bahermoz, a board member and the dean of the institute. He outlined the institute’s operational progress and the development initiatives it has experienced recently.

Efforts to Renew Cooperation Protocols and Academic Standards

Further discussions focused on the ministry’s efforts to renew cooperation protocols with Al-Azhar University and other similar educational institutions. The council approved the institute’s opening for the new year, reviewed the results of fourth-level students, and discussed curriculum descriptions, as well as the administrative and academic staff.

This gathering marks a significant step towards enhancing the educational framework and standards within Yemen’s religious and guidance education sectors, aiming at a broader development and improvement in the quality of education provided.
