The General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology’s Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center has issued a weather forecast for today, Friday. The center predicts moderate weather during the day and relatively cold temperatures at night and in the early morning for coastal areas and nearby regions. Partial cloudiness may bring scattered rain to parts of the western coasts, with moderate to active winds expected.
According to the daily weather bulletin, which was shared with the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the mountainous regions will experience dry and cold to very cold conditions, particularly at night and in the early morning. There is a possibility of fog and low clouds forming over parts of the western highlands. The southern and southwestern highlands will see cold to relatively cold weather. In desert and plateau areas, the forecast indicates generally dry and clear conditions, with moderate daytime temperatures and cold nights. Winds will range from light to moderate.
The center has provided specific temperature forecasts for various regions today, Friday:
The center has reiterated its warnings to residents in high-altitude areas about low temperatures. Citizens, especially children and the elderly, should take necessary precautions. Additionally, the center cautions drivers in mountainous regions about reduced visibility due to fog formation. Farmers in elevated areas should also be aware of the potential impact of extremely low temperatures on their crops.
In its daily marine bulletin, the center forecasts calm sea conditions along the coasts of Al-Mahra, Hadhramaut, Shabwa, Abyan, and Aden. The Bab al-Mandab and western coasts will experience light to moderate waves, while the Socotra Archipelago will see moderate waves. The sea conditions in the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea will remain light to moderate, with moderate waves in the Arabian Sea. The center warns fishermen and sea-goers around the Socotra Archipelago and in the Arabian Sea and Red Sea about potential rough seas and active winds.
