The General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology’s Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center has predicted continued clear to partly cloudy skies in coastal regions and nearby areas this Saturday. The forecast indicates mild temperatures with a chance of light, scattered rain over the Socotra Archipelago and southern coastal areas, including the southwestern regions. Winds are expected to strengthen along the southern and western coasts, as well as around Mayyun Island and the Socotra Archipelago.
According to the daily weather bulletin, the mountainous areas will experience dry and dusty conditions, with mild temperatures during the day. However, nighttime temperatures will drop significantly, becoming very cold to extremely cold in the early morning. There is also a possibility of fog formation in some areas. In the desert and plateau regions, the weather will remain clear, dry, and relatively dusty, with moderate daytime temperatures and cold to very cold nights, accompanied by active winds that may stir up dust.

The center urges citizens, particularly the elderly and children in mountainous and desert areas, to take necessary precautions against the drop in nighttime temperatures. Farmers, livestock breeders, and beekeepers should remain vigilant about the potential impacts of severe cold on their crops and livestock. Additionally, individuals with respiratory conditions and drivers should be cautious of widespread dust.
In its marine bulletin, the center forecasts light wave conditions along the coasts of Al-Mahra, Hadramout, and Shabwa. The waters off the coasts of Abyan, Aden, and the western shores, including the Socotra Archipelago, will experience light to moderate waves. The Bab al-Mandab Strait will see moderate waves, while the Gulf of Aden will have light to moderate wave conditions. The Arabian Sea and the Red Sea may experience moderate to rough waters.
The center warns fishermen and sea-goers in the southern and southwestern coasts, Bab al-Mandab, Mayyun Island, and southern Socotra Archipelago, as well as in the Arabian Sea and western Gulf of Aden, to be cautious of rough seas and high waves.
